BRICS has now 10 members.

 BRICS is an acronym that refers to a group of five major emerging national economies that have formed a coalition to enhance their influence in global affairs. The member countries of BRICS are:

1. Brazil
2. Russia
3. India
4. China
5. South Africa

These nations are known for their substantial economic potential, significant populations, and regional and global influence. The BRICS grouping aims to promote cooperation and dialogue among its members on various political, economic, and social issues. The BRICS nations hold annual summits where leaders discuss and collaborate on topics such as economic development, trade, technology, and international relations.

In August 2023, at the 15th BRICS Summit, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that 6 emerging market group countries (Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) had been invited to join the bloc. Full membership was scheduled to take effect on 1 January 2024.
